A Chore Jacket Like No Other

October 03, 2025

Chore jackets originated in 19th-century France as garments to wear while knocking out day-to-day work (hence the name). Leave it to the guys at Sid Mashburn to take it up a notch with horn buttons and elevated fabric. This one is made from a particularly spirited cloth from Portugal, not a true patchwork but rather a jacquard tweed that features several traditional jacketing patterns: think houndstooths, plaids, and herringbones. It’s like every fall jacket mashed up into one easy-to-wear piece.

The chore jacket from Sid Mashburn. Special, indeed.

It’s time to dress up again!
