The Season's First Corduroy Blazer

August 14, 2026

You know it’s almost fall when the corduroys start rolling in. We have always been big fans of this fabric and offer it in trousers, shirts, various outerwear styles, and even this awesome Butcher Jacket from Sid Mashburn. Somewhere between a chore coat and a blazer, the Butcher is the most casual of Sid’s different sport coat models. It’s unlined and unconstructed, with a natural shoulder pick stitched shirtsleeve construction. The pockets on the front are special, too: they are designed so that you can tuck in the flaps (without looking like you just tucked in the flaps) for a more open look. There are even reinforced elbow patches to really drive the “casual” thing home. The fit of the Butcher is easy, with a touch more room in the body than our tailored jackets. And while it looks great with a knit shirt or a flannel button down, you can dress it up like a true blazer – just like we’ve done here with these new fall paisley ties.

It’s time to dress up again!
